Scratch Day 2010 in Rhodes

Scratch Day 2010 is Saturday, May 22. An educational meeting entitled “Educational applications of Scratch”, has been scheduled at the University of Aegean, in Rhodes.
The meeting is co-organized by the Learning Technology and Education Engineering Laboratory, the Laboratory of New Technologies in communication, Education and the Mass Media (http://www.media.uoa.gr/medialab/) and the following School Advisors: P. Spanos (Primary Education), Ts. Karakiza (Informatics – Secondary Education), H. Louvis (Mathematics – Secondary Education) and St. Orfanos (Science – Secondary Education).
Four workshop sessions have been scheduled, as follows:
- Applications of Scratch in teaching Science and Mathematics (morning session – N. Dapontes)
- Applications of Scratch in Special Needs Education (morning session – P. Tragazikis)
- Utilizing Scratch in Educational Digital Storytelling (Afternoon session – K. Serafeim)
- Applications of Scratch in teaching Informatics. (Ts. Karakiza, El. Mavroudi, D. Vamvakas, G. Fessakis)
