=> HERMES, funded by the Greek Secretariat for Research and Technology, is a human network of research and development in the field of advanced learning environments over the world wide web. It aims to promote the transfer of leading-edge technology concerning advanced learning environments into Hellenic Universities, Organizations and Private Sectors. The network’s main activity is the construction of an organizational framework and an elaborate information and communication infrastructure between HERMES nodes, that will result in an extensive and critical examination of current technological developments concerning advanced learning environments over the world wide web. Currently, work in HERMES is concentrating on two major topics of particular interest (Advanced systems for teaching and learning over the world wide web & Systems for the transfer, management and adaptation of knowledge).
